The original name of the article was less notable then current name, so the change was understandable under WP:COMMONNAME. I am cautious about moving it again due to the BLP issues that already are here, and hope this article doesn't turn into a coatrack which to attack other members of congress which would violate WP:NPOV, and possible WP:ADVOCATE. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 11:42, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As described by the New York Times, a "leading Christian ministry" made an intervention in this case, with leader Coe trying to persuade Ensign to end the affair (unsuccessfully). That was reported at the time; why is it excluded from this account?Parkwells (talk) 15:49, 20 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I deleted the Philippines or Asian-American projects; it seems over-reaching to say this article is related to those projects, just because Ensign learned at about age 40 that his paternal grandfather, whom he never met, was half-Filipino. In addition, the scandal and resulting investigations had nothing to do with Ensign's ancestry. Ensign's family culture as he was growing up did not relate at all to Filipino or Asian-American culture. Let's not get taken up by a politician's campaign claims to appeal to ethnic groups, and overuse these categories so they have no meaning in WP.Parkwells (talk) 16:10, 20 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
For similar reasons, the categories below should be reduced in number, but appear to be added automatically. I can't figure out how to reach them. What is listed here is overkill, even if Ensign is a former senator who had a spectacular scandal. Mother categories, such as US, should be deleted.
