Doerr and President Barack OBAMA
[edit]" In February, 2009, Doerr was appointed as a member to the USA's President BARACK OBAMA as Economic Recovery Advisory Board to provide the president and his administration with advice and counsel in fixing America's economic downturn." as per: http://www.ted.com/talks/john_doerr_sees_salvation_and_profit_in_greentech.html Can that be confirmed and mentioned in the biography? --SvenAERTS (talk) 09:07, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
On expensing of stock options
[edit]Doerr has taken the position that options should not be expensed, both because this might disincent companies from issuing them, and because such expensing would necessitate estimates. Charlie Munger (Vice Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway) has taken an opposing position: "I'd rather make my money playing piano in a whorehouse than account for options as recommended by John Doerr.” - Charlie Munger. Should a section be added on this topic?

"Venture funding" needs serious clean up
[edit]I know little about editing on Wikipedia or I would flag this myself. The "Venture funding" section is written horribly and has random information thrown into the middle that needs to be moved elsewhere/organized. Please fix or flag. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.205.148.226 (talk) 08:16, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
