Incorrect page move

[edit]

This article was moved to the incorrect name. First of all, is it an established fact that most WP:RS use his middle name to refer to him by WP:COMMONNAME? If so, then the correct name for this article is John Atcherley Dew, which needs no disambiguation. If not, then the correct name for this article is John Dew (bishop). So, which is it? Elizium23 (talk) 22:28, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

For years this article was titled John Atcherley Dew. That name completely distinguishes him from every other John Dew and is sufficient. I think that John Atcherley Dew is the correct name for the article without the need for any qualification and I think it should be changed back to that name.Rick570 (talk) 00:13, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The relevant policy can be found at WP:BISHOP, which completely backs up what Elizium23 claims. DBD 14:05, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Is someone going to get rid of the bracketed "(New Zealand prelate)"?Rick570 (talk) 20:31, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Since the number of Google results for {cardinal "john atcherley dew"} is one-sixth that for {cardinal "john dew"} – clearly establishing COMMONNAME, I rather think we'll be moving to John Dew (bishop), thank you. DBD 21:37, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Well do it then!Rick570 (talk) 22
