Greengrass split

[edit]

I've looked over the internet and the most reliable source I could find fr the split is [1] but then again News of the World does chat a load of crap most of the time, so i'm not sure it counts as reliable. steveking89 20:25, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The NOTW is not in my opinion a good enough reliable source for content. Especially when the piece has this classic from Greengrass, " I feel she just used me to help her hog the limelight and win the show." It does look as though the split may well be true but until a more reliable (and less POV) source than a newspaper which prints stories that are dubious at best, and when the story is sensationalism at its highest, then I would suggest it isn't amended. Of course if a more reliable source is found then it should be updated.♦Tangerines♦·Talk 20:56, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Considering this rumour has appeared only in the NOTW, I think this is a clear example of tabloids specialising in what they do best. Until something pops up from a reliable source, I think the article should stay as it is. ——Ryan | tc 20:59, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What about this one then? [2] I've never actually heard of 'The People' before though, looks quie tabloidish too. BBC or Digital Spy need to hurry up with the story! steveking89 21:26, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The People is also a Sunday tabloid and whilst it is better than the NOTW it isn't better by much and the story just seems to be the same standard as the NOTW. ♦Tangerines♦·Talk 21:35, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think until it is covered by the BBC News website, or another reputable news source (IMHO, gossipy tabloids such as the NOTW or the People ARE NOT), then we should revert any additions saying she has split up as unsourced controversial material about a living person. ~~ [Jam][talk] 23:14, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I found this link, it's an exert from what I think is Prenger's autobiography or something like that, but it is confirmation from Prenger of the split; although you do have to read quite far into the article to find it. steveking89 15:44, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
At last! Good spot, and yes it is an extract from her book which was released last month. I've amended it slightly and also used it as a source for some other content.--♦Tangerines♦·Talk 16:02, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
