Page title: Jo or Joanne?

[edit]

I was just about to move Joanne Guest to Jo Guest per the most common usage, when I saw this had been a move target before.

  • 10:38, July 9, 2005 Ed g2s (talk · contribs) moved Joanne Guest to Jo Guest over redirect ‎ (most used name)
  • 18:30, March 12, 2007 Disavian (talk · contribs) moved Jo Guest to Joanne Guest over redirect ‎ (everywhere else on the internet, she's known as "Joanne")

Let's get some conversation down on the talk page before we do this again. Google quoth:

The main article's TV Career section also seems to favor Jo. What do other editors say? --AnonEMouse (squeak) 15:44, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that "Jo" is the more commonly used name, and per our naming conventions, should be the title. ed g2stalk 18:52, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's been long enough ... moving. --AnonEMouse (squeak) 13:36, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The photo doesn't capture what Jo Guest is all about. It's a bit crummy and distinctly chavvy. Something flirty, young, sexy and fun would sum up her real career. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JohnGrandin (talkcontribs) 03:12, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, I have added the front cover of Escort Volume 13, no 3 (1993), to show a picture of her during her glamour career. Silver Barnet (talk) 19:33, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, magazine covers aren't allowed unless the article deals with the magazine specifically and more than just tangentially. See Wikipedia:Non-free content, point #9 under "Images". By the way, that's why you don't see magazine covers on all the porn model articles that don't have images already. Dismas|(talk) 02:53, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough, it can still be viewed on the page for Escort magazine, where it hasn't been deleted.Silver Barnet (talk) 07:22, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry but I've removed it from there as well. See Wikipedia:Image use policy#Image queuing as well as my edit summary in the article history. That's a different article though, so if you want to discuss the images use at that article, lets discuss it there. Dismas|(talk) 08:00, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
