I'm not sure why it says he has the shortest MLB career. Larry Yount was brought into pitch in a game, injured himself during the warm-up, was removed, and then never played baseball again. His career officially existed because he was announced as relief pitcher, and appears in the box score. He faced zero batters, and therefore has the shortest MLB career in history. Here is the link to the game: September 15, 1971[1] 99.249.197.42 (talk) 04:33, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
There is no evidence that I can see for Boyle having a steakhouse in New York or the nickname Brwwntown. This needs to be supported or removed. Rory1262 (talk) 18:05, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
- Agree. I deleted. His SABR biographer didn't find anything like that in his post-baseball career. Maybe it was a different Boyle. Lhpeebles (talk) 23:44, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
