What's the poor chap's first name?Smallman12q (talk) 15:49, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
I used Jimi in the article name as per [1]. Filimer123 (talk) 16:11, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- Given his age, it seems highly unlikely that his birth name was Jim or Jimi and not James. On-line BMD can provide? Martinevans123 (talk) 16:53, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- His close family and friends knew him as Cliff. 92.239.168.27 (talk) 20:31, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- That will need a reference so I have reverted your change. – ukexpat (talk) 20:34, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- I think the comment should be scrubbed as a very poor taste "joke". Ghmyrtle (talk) 20:42, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Segway deal specifics?
This ref says he "bought control of ... Segway"; this one says "The Segway operation was acquired by a UK based company backed by Heselden." These mean almost the same thing, but it's not entirely clear if he had partners in the venture, and whether he was just the finance or was he the active manager of the Segway business too. Can anyone find a pre-accident description of the transaction that clarifies what the actual position was? -- Finlay McWalter ☻ Talk 21:12, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

There is a slight factual error in the article on Jimi Heselden under philanthropy.
The copy reads "and in the same year set up the Leeds Community Foundation in his home city with a £10 million donation". This is not true. Please change to "and in the same year set up the Hesco Bastion Fund, in his home city, with a £10 million donation to the Leeds Community Foundation."
it may seem a small alteration but crucial to us in that we were in existence before his very generous donation

- Done - yes, the sources clearly support this. Thanks for pointing out the error - Alison ❤ 07:02, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
