Why was the publications list removed?
[edit]Why was the publications list removed in this edit [1] ? I can understanding maybe removing links to papers behind paywalls, but surely not his entirely publication list? Stuartyeates (talk) 10:45, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
- @Stuartyeates: four years later, shall we put back those publications? Ballofstring (talk) 02:10, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
- I'm more selective than I used to be. I'd be inclined to check against http://scholar.google.co.nz/scholar?hl=en&q=Jim+Salinger and put back half a dozen that got lots of citations, rather than the whole lot. Stuartyeates (talk) 02:14, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

I have added a selected publications section now. I think it works ok and can be added to.Realitylink (talk) 21:40, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Update of this page
[edit]Just wondering what has been happening with this notable scientist since his dismissal from NIWA?Realitylink (talk) 02:51, 28 September 2020 (UTC) 22:33, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
I have added text and a citation about recent activity Salinger has been involved in. I guess we need to see how this pans out, but he has been very active.Realitylink (talk) 02:51, 28 September 2020 (UTC) 22:56, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
We now have a photo and I have been discovering that some of the citations and references are no longer operating, so have managed to fix a few. This page needs a couple more sections I am thinking, possibly: Early Life, Career, Awards, Later work on climate control. Again, just thinking about this. Also, the lede is out of date and will need to be re-done soon. I will leave that until I have more in the body.Realitylink (talk) 02:51, 28 September 2020 (UTC) 02:45, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
I have moved all references into a Reflist now. This page needs a major re-write and I will work on this over the next few weeks. Some of the earlier citations are not available - I have contacted the web pages for possible archival material - so I won't remove anything unless I am not able to get a reference.Realitylink (talk) 02:57, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
I have pretty much done a full re-write now. One or two items need citations and some of the more recent stuff still needs to go in. I will add a section for Awards and Honours.Realitylink (talk) 02:25, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Just awaiting further developments in the calls to action! Realitylink (talk) 22:11, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
