Contested deletion

[edit]

User:Ibjaja055 G4 does not apply here; the article is certainly substantially different from the original when it was nominated at AfD. Based on the comments, it included marginally-reliable sources like Newsweek, which this does not. SWinxy (talk) 01:05, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@SWinxy Thank you for your explanation but the contest is almost the same. Most of the editors that voted delete based the subject's sources on routine coverages that do not meet WP:GNG or any of the WP:SNG. This is also the same here, the sources cannot establish the Notability of the subject.Ibjaja055 (talk) 01:27, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It seems like you misunderstand what WP:G4 is for, which are articles that were put back up (copy and pasted) after a discussion and deletion, not articles wholly recreated from the ground up. Key phrase in G4 being sufficiently identical copies. If you think the subject is not notable, sure, tag it or bring it to AfD. But if it's not a copy, it can't be G4'd. @SWinxy Sorry, I might have missed that. Ibjaja055 (talk) 06:17, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
