Notice to users

Please do not insert a specific date for son Silas' birth until a reliable source (preferably Biel herself and/or Justin Timberlake) gives the exact date. I've seen this is a recent issue made in good faith, but lacked proper referencing. We have to remember WP:SYNTH. Snuggums (talk / edits) 23:02, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

bot error?

this edit looks like a bug. I am not aware that any of the parameters involved is deprecated. DES (talk) 01:22, 17 September 2015 (UTC)

According to this: began= and ended= are deprecated to end=. Have you notified the Monkbot owner? I find nothing on the Monkbot's page that says these changes are approved. Checkingfax (talk) 02:16, 17 September 2015 (UTC)

Edits Made

In the 'Early Life' section, I added the location of Tufts University which is Medford, Massachusetts. Knowing the location of a University is important due to knowing the location of the person at the time.

Neutrality of lede

I propose removing the text "After a period of slowed film work and lackluster critical reception" from the lede. Other actors have had similar periods of slowed work, and less-critically-praised work (Nicolas Cage, Elizabeth Shue) but do not have this sort of text in the lede. Readers can see the "slowed" nature from the dates given, and "lackluster" does not seem to me to belong in the lede, vis-a-vis NPOV. Before I make any additional change on this, I wanted to raise it here. I previously made an edit along these lines but it was reverted by an editor who disagreed. Perhaps discussion here first will allow us to work out any differences. Comments? Thanks. Fanyavizuri (talk) 08:08, 31 August 2017 (UTC)

Hypocrisy in the entertainment business ... and in general

I would be quite interested in Miss Biel's take on this: Biel received a lot of flak for doing a risque photo shoot which ostensibly undermined the context of her show 7th Heaven. So I wonder how Biel felt when her TV father on that show, the popular and beloved actor Stephen Collins, would later be determined to have engaged in behavior far more outrageous and scandalous than what Biel had done. Definitely a point to ponder!

BoJack Horseman

Since she is still doing voice work on the BoJack Horseman show, should we change 2016-2017 to 2016- in the television appearance table? See this source, she is still on the show. Thanks . JC7V-constructive zone 01:46, 4 October 2018 (UTC)

Commageddon!

I have removed several redundant commas from the article. It is not necessary to comma after every initial establishing of a time period. In the sentence:

“On August 2, 2017, her eight-episode limited series…” the commas are required for the date formatting, but:

“In 2017 her eight-episode limited series…” needs no commas.

The comma should unobtrusively promote meaning. When overused it obstructs the flow.

Just as

"She went to college in September." = "In September she went to college."

So

"In September, she went to college." = "She went to college, in September."

The meaning is clear in all cases rendering the comma redundant, and further, the comma introduces a mental pause to no good purpose. Captainllama (talk) 14:23, 25 June 2019 (UTC)

She has 2 children now...

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. JTP (talkcontribs) 22:30, 31 July 2020 (UTC)

Native American ancestry

I thought she was of Chocktaw descent but can't find anything on this in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:4C8:141D:312A:1:2:FE16:E98 (talk) 11:13, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

Partly done: At the suggestion of some guidelines on the infobox template page, the part mentioning her education has been omitted from the article's infobox. Content related to her attendance of Tufts university in the article body is unmodified. Living Concrete (talk) 00:51, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
