Tunny not TUNNY
[edit]The General report on Tunny (Good, Jack; Michie, Donald; Timms, Geoffrey (1945), General Report on Tunny: With Emphasis on Statistical Methods, UK Public Record Office HW 25/4 and HW 25/5) does not use TUNNY, which is also contrary to WP:ALLCAPS--TedColes (talk) 09:49, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
Featured on Timewatch
[edit]I've added a brief note at the end of the article about Roberts being featured on a Timewatch Special. I don't know how to reference it so I'm hopeful someone with more knowledge will add that at a later date. -- Newty 14:41, 29 October 2011 (UTC) Added a link to the Timewatch special which is hosted at the BBC Computer Literacy Project archive. Anonymous unsourced editing
[edit]It is clear that Wikipedia is very keen on content being verifiable (see: WP:VERIFY), and has a preference for editors to register rather than being anonymous (see: WP:REG). Edit warring is discouraged (see: WP:EDITWAR), with the statement that disagreements should be resolved by discussion.
I have been trying to improve this article, but have had verifiable referenced content deleted by anonymous editor(s), and a valid citation summarily removed with no explanation in the edit summary description field. It is now time to discuss openly the areas of disagreement and the sources. For example, Jerry Roberts' undergraduate experience and recruitment to GC&CS for which I have used as a source his talk at UCL on 11 March 2009 ( Roberts, Jerry (2009), My Top-Secret Codebreaking During World War II: The Last British Survivor of Bletchley Park’s Testery (iTunes U) (video), University College London). --TedColes (talk) 08:00, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
