Min-On competition
[edit]There's a list of prize-winners at the site of this competition: [1]. It does not mention JP Penin under 1979 or under any other year. Andrei Romanenko (talk) 12:48, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Penin was the awarded a silver medal. Jury President : Seiji Ozawa. Not written on the Min-on site but easy to check.

- What does it mean "easy to check"? At official cite of the award the other person is mentioned as a silver medalist of 1979. It means that it is YOUR duty to provide some alternative sources confirming your information. And the fact in doubt should be removed from the article until such confirmation. Andrei Romanenko (talk) 09:42, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Is there a technical way on Wikipedia, to put the picture of the said medal and award, with Penin's name engraved on the plate ? --86.205.54.5 (talk) 08:41, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Cargese
- Hmm... It seems to me that it should be possible. But you need to be registered user for this. As a registered user you will be able to go here and upload the picture. Then this picture could be added to the article itself as an illustration. Andrei Romanenko (talk) 16:48, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
OK, thank you. I will have a small picture made of the award and medal and have it uploaded (may be with Penin's other awards, Polish Merit Officer order and French Arts et lettres Chevalier order, if the whole thing doesn't take too much place and doesn't make it too "showy"). --90.44.107.87 (talk) 11:24, 28 June 2008 (UTC)cargese
