Facts

[edit]

This needs a source:

After completing her master's degree DeFeo was awarded Berkeley's Sigmund Martin Heller Travelling Scholarship; years later, she found that, due to her name, the fellowship administrators did not realize they had given the award to a woman.

  1. I can not find anything on this other than copies of the wikipedia page.
  2. I can not even find any references to the schoolarship, except again, on wikipedia pages.

Can anyone offer help? --Falcorian (talk) 19:11, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. No one has come forward backing it, so it's gone. --Falcorian (talk) 16:10, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rat Bastard Protective Association

[edit]

It appears that this artist was an original member of the Rat Bastard Protective Association. I am interested in the RBPA. The dates for the RBPA would be from c.1959 to today, for example: Manuel Neri, Joan Brown, Jay DeFeo, Wally Hedrick, Wallace Berman, Jess, and George Herms. However, little or no material pertains to the RBPA on this page? Does any editor have any thoughts on this? [1] --Ratbastardassn (talk) 20:47, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism warning

[edit]

Much of this article starting with "early life" is lifted from Peter Schjeldahl's 2013 New Yorker piece on DeFeo (ref. 1). With just a few changes in words here and there, most of this reads like Schjeldahl's work, including sentence structure and timeline. This article should be rewritten. --Utilizer (talk) 03:35, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
