You mean you added it into External Links, and then made no mention of having done so before clearing it from here?
Leaving aside WP:TPO, I did not notice it was in the external links because it wasn't when I added it here, and there was no comment or edit summary saying it'd been added when it was removed from here.
But I also think it has more use as a reference, with information not currently included in the article, than as an external link. Otherwise, I would have just pasted the link into the article myself instead of putting it here. I think it's sensible to leave it here in case I or another editor gets the urge to expand the article with it in the future.
