- ... that Jarn Mound (pictured) was erected to view the "dreaming spires"? Source: The Little Book of Oxford "Evans built Jarn Mound on Boar's Hill, in an attempt to produce a vantage point from which the 'dreaming spires' could look their best."

- Hi Andrew Davidson, interesting article, review follows: article created 20 November and exceeds minimum length; article is cited inline throughout to what look to be reliable sources for the subject; hook is interesting, mentioned in the article and cited to a reliable source, AGF that the source supports the hook based on the quote above; image is good, used in the article and freely licensed; a QPQ has been carried out. Looks good to me - Dumelow (talk) 16:23, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
Picture of the dreaming spires
[edit]Is there a picture of these "dreaming spires" from the mound? I'd like to see them, and I'm not able to get there in person. Mr Ernie (talk) 15:34, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
- The view from the mound is now obstructed by trees. There may be some historic photos or paintings of the original view but I've not seen one yet. But here's a good photo of the spires from Boars Hill which was taken in 2009.
- As and when I visit myself, I must take a drone to take a good panoramic shot. There's a video tour with some drone footage on YouTube but it seems too hazy to capture the view of the spires so well.
