Merger proposal
[edit]I propose to merge Jammu and Kashmiri cuisine into Kashmiri cuisine. There is nothing called as 'Jammu and Kashmiri cuisine' in common usage. Its either Kashmiri cuisine or Jammu Cuisine. ChunnuBhai (talk) 17:10, 24 October 2020 (UTC) @Witshuntied and Captain Calm:
Support per nomination. Captain Calm (talk) 17:22, 24 October 2020 (UTC)- Oppose because "Jammu" is not included. If at all it should be the other way around. Jammu has 5 lakh people, and it's not fair for them to not have their local cuisine represented! Witshuntied (talk) 17:38, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- The correct approach then would be to expand Jammu#Cuisine, with reliable sources, until it's large enough to split off to a separate article. Captain Calm (talk) 17:41, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose: Article is unsourced OR/SYNTH and should go to AfD. Unsourced material will lower the quality of any merge target. // Timothy :: talk 01:27, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
- Comment Jammu and Kashmir is politically one union territory; however both Jammu Division and Kashmir Valley have different cultures. Either this page should be cited with reliable sources and rename to Cuisine of Jammu or it should be deleted as an undersourced page. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 17:58, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed. This is little more than a weak fork of Kashmiri cuisine, sourced by a few blog posts at the end, created by sockpuppets (now blocked). There's too little content left now for a db-g5 though, now that the copyvio and unattributed pasting from the Kashmiri cuisine article have been removed. I suggest that we propose it for deletion. - I have created AfD. ChunnuBhai (talk) 16:21, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
