Why no talk on the "talk" page?

[edit]

I see that the entire talk page has been essentially removed and banked in the archives. Certainly this page must be approached with extreme care considering the current controversy surrounding this individual and, the US DOJ. However....I see no reason to simply end all discussion of the content of the article. If other editors are concerned with vandalism, or individuals injecting POV into the article, why not lock it, or make it semi-protected?

I just don't see a reason to persistently archive the entirety of a talk page, as soon as it's written solely because of a currently heated political climate. In fact, that seems to me to be the point of a talk page in the first place.....

If others following this article disagree with me I would greatly appreciate hearing your input. :)

The section of talk which has been repeatedly removed was not archived. There are not yet any archives for this talk page. It was removed because it is irrelevant to this article. JRSpriggs (talk) 12:48, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Once anything is on the talk page, it is nobodys business to remove it, unless its libelous, slanderous, or exhibits anything of an offensive nature. Relevance is a matter of opinion. Marc S. 206.192.35.125 (talk) 18:35, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
