Please Stop
[edit]Please stop adding the section on "flubs" to the Danny Aiello article. The section is unsourced and speculative, and at best completely trivial. Dayewalker (talk) 18:02, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- It is not unsourced. It is an observation of the movie City Hall. The movie is the source!!!!!! It is not speculative!! dannny sits in a chair. hes looking down at the floor. he shakes and flinches. then he looks up. theres somebody at the door. NO knock is heard!!! what the hell is speculative about that??? its either a timing error by aiello, or its a sound-effects error. Anybody else watching that scene would agree with me. its an observation of the friggin movie. the movie is the source for the comment. Go to any blockbuster video, and the movie is there for a nominal rental fee, for clarification of what im talking about!!!!!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.192.35.125 (talk • contribs)
- We understand your reasons, but unfortunately, they do not comply with the basic WP:OR policy. There is more to it - encyclopeidia is not a trivia site; we can only accept notable trivia, i.e. not which one person is talking about, but which is discussed in multiple reliable sources. RESPONSE: I attempted to edit the article on Teleportation, with a separate paragraph to cite a summary of points made in the PBS program NOVA, in the November 2011 4-part show "Fabric of the Cosmos." The show NOVA is a long running, well-known series, which as respected as any paper-printed scientific journal!!!!!! I strongly suggest whomever is the self-appointed custodian of this teleportation article to revert back to my edit, which was not done with any malicious intent to vandalize. The attempt was to expand on the article, and the added info in my edit was not "talk."
Talk:Las Vegas Motor Speedway
[edit]Hello there. I noticed your recent edits to Talk:Las Vegas Motor Speedway where you were making comments about Indycar's decision not to race at the track. I've unfortunately had to undo this edits because the main purpose of our article talk pages are to discuss potential issues or improvements of the article, and not the subject in general. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at my talk page. Have a great day, Nascar1996(Talk • Contribs) 21:03, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
Reason for firing Andretti
[edit]I reverted your change and then, in reading the Talk page, finally understood why you keep making this change. I responded to you on the Talk page but wanted to let you know here as well. Please read what I wrote about the issue at Talk:Michael Andretti before you revert me; while I now understand why you disagree with my wording, I think your wording vastly misrepresents the situation and doesn't concur with what any external source says. Thank you. Theoldsparkle (talk) 15:31, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
Nearer my God to Thee
[edit]It is true that "Nearer my God to Thee" was reported as being heard. However, there are quite a few tunes associated with it. I guess the answer will come out at the official remembrance service (in Belfast). The tune they play then will be the correct one. If it is "Bethany" then I will back down. Hi
[edit]Hi,
I am Denyse and I would like your advise on how to edit and upload the Kenny Rogers Roasters Article. I have tried uploading it and changing the contents of the article. However, the next morning the article will change to original back again. Besides, I have already answered all the legal questions when trying to upload the photo but they said that the upload is in progress. I leave my laptop for about an hour but the photos were not uploaded yet. Kindly advise me in this matter as I am a staff from Kenny Rogers Roasters International.
Regards, DenyseNgkaiwen89 (talk) 03:14, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
- I dont understand why you're asking me. Im not a wikipedia expert, nor a monitor of any wikipedia articles. But I'll say this: theres no upload process. You click edit, and then you click "save page" when you're done. Is your question some sort of prank? Isnt Kenny Rogers Roasters out of business? They went bankrupt years ago. The corporate name was bought by either Nathans, or by Miami Subs. There is a co-branding process, done within Miami Subs restaurants. But Frankly the in-store co-branding is ridiculous. The Kenny Rogers Roasters concept today consists of a grilled chicken sandwich. To use the kenny Rogers Roasters name is asinine, considering the old Kenny Rogers Roasters restaurant concept was a unique concept with many offerings that are not offered any more. Your edit here to Ralph DePalma was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSZ8bv3unio) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. - theres no copyright issue with linking to that specific video. But I'll have to revisit this later, when I can get the coding correct. MS, Dania fl 206.192.35.125 (talk) 18:56, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hello??? For the SECOND TIME: The video link was not a copyright violation. IM the creator of the video. MS Dania Fl. 206.192.35.125 (talk) 18:21, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
Please note that talk pages (and specifically, Talk:The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson) are there for improving the page, and not for making forum-like posts and inquiries. For intemperate language, and ignoring WP:NOTFORUM, on Talk:Nick Berg after above warnings. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:54, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
- Intemporate language? Really??? I protest that charge!!! Go to the talk page for Nick Berg. What you will see is a racist rant from somebody else. A claim by that other guy that the Nick Berg article is a whitewash because it excludes the mention that he is jewish. You keep that racist rant in there, but you block me for my so-called intemporate response. I severely protest. Nick Berg was a contractor in Iraq: fact. He was killed: Fact!! He chose of his own free choice to go to Iraq. What does his religion have to do with anything? Are the world super-powers supposed to dictate to jewish americans were to go and not go? I responded to a racist rant. The person claimed the Nick Berg page is a whitewash, because it does not mention that he is Jewish. Since when does Wikipedia support and keep racist posts, and block people who post objections to racist statements. Marc S. Dania Fl 206.192.35.125 (talk) 18:19, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
- And let me add: when FILM FAN told me "shup up and go away," that was not intemporate language? He should have been blocked! I'm appalled by the hypocrisy that exists at Wikipedia. Marc S. Dania Fl 206.192.35.125 (talk) 18:30, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from National Invitation Tournament into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you.
