Importance in the building of skyscrapers
[edit]I have recently read that Bogardus' book in 1858 titled "Cast Iron Buildings: Their Construction and Advantages" detailed how to support the weight of construction on columns rather than with masonry walls, which as the first step to the creation of skeletal framing. His basic principles helped eventually create the future of skyscrapers. Should this be added to his bio? --74.64.99.5 (talk) 13:03, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
