The former picture was not a portrait of Jacques Decour but of some unknown school-boy. It is a detail from a class photograph where the young man is standing on the last row. But should a highly qualified teacher not sit on the front row with other teachers ?
I am the President of the association that protects the heritage of Jacques Decour and in touch with Decour's daughter, Brigitte Decourdemanche, who certified that the portrait could not be her father's.
I already changed it in the French Wikipédia and replaced it with a portrait of Jacques Decour she sent me.
I am trying to eliminate this faulty photograph from Wikimedia for good. Hope I can find the way to do so. Frederique Le Graverend (talk) 08:49, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
