edits for GA review

[edit]

Hello, and thank you to the editors who have contributed to this article. I came to review this but see several key changes needed before a review can begin. First, the lead could be expanded a bit (make each paragraph a bit longer and more detailed) to more adequately summarize the article's content. Next, restructure it. Right now there is one sentence in the family section, and the awards and publications sections are lists. Please remove these subsections, then incorporate this information elsewhere as appropriate. For example, simply state "he wrote and published X book in Y year, and A book in B year" with citations to the book information you already have listed. Write a paragraph that discusses his awards in prose. Try to break the article into subsections according to the stages in his life only (early years, early career, late career or something like that). Lemurbaby (talk) 00:29, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewer: Puffin Let's talk! 19:50, 8 July 2011 (UTC) I didn't know a message was already on the talk page of this article. I'm going to place it on hold for the same reasons as the user posted above.[reply]

I just left a msg on the talk page, but will repeat it here to make sure you see it. I very much appreciate your interest in reviewing the page for the GA nomination, and think your recommendations so far are excellent. Unfortunately, though, all the time I have for wikipedia right now is going into another article: Religious symbolism in the United States military, and just can't work on this Jack Moline article right now. Perhaps I should withdraw the nomination for now? NearTheZoo (talk) 23:32, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is this review going to be continued? No comments in a month, or at all besides the bit above. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 17:09, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The issues have not been addressed. Puffin Let's talk! 17:11, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just noticed that and was about to remove it. This should be failed since the nom notes he can't get to the concerns. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 17:12, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good article nomination

[edit]

Dear Lemurbaby (and Puffin) I really apologize for not getting back to sooner, but in my "real life" I have been a little swamped, and almost all the time I can afford to contribute to wikipedia has been used for the article, Religious symbolism in the United States military. I just don't think I can afford to put any time into the Jack Moline article right now. If it would help for me to withdraw the GA nomination, I could do that. Please let me know what you think -- and again, I apologize for not responding sooner. NearTheZoo (talk) 23:27, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
