[edit]I am not sure why someone added the "Philadelphia Portal" graphic on the main section of the article. It is a link to a page on Philadelphia which has little significance to the subject-matter of the article. I moved it to the "Link" section of the article -- which seemed appropriate. I also moved the "WikiProject Philadelphia" to the bottom of this page, as it too, is of minimal importance to this article Swlenz 23:43, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Memorial
[edit]One of Jack's daughters passed recently: http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/news/obituaries/14679081.htm This writer knew her, and her cooking. Rest in peace, Liz. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.115.67.60 (talk • contribs)
I also knew her and her cooking, especially her unique and wonderful hand-crafted "fig newtons" and her restaurant The Brickworks (named for the family business). Rest in peace, Liz. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.20.119.24 (talk) 21:32, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Kelly at the Olympics
[edit]"In 1960, Kelly competed in the double scull at his final Olympics in Rome. His boat would be eliminated in the repechage."
What in pity sakes is a "repechage?" If contributors insist upon using obscure terms, they really need to explain them in the text. [1] \Dick Kimball (talk) 15:13, 20 July 2009 (UTC) [edit]

Middle name spelling
[edit]Was his middle name Brendan or Brenden? Sources give both. Wikipedia says his father was Brendan. — AjaxSmack 00:00, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
