How is this guy notable? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.169.208.67 (talk) 01:41, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hypercomputation is a field of study rising in importance. I will add a cross-reference. p.r.newman (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:42, 23 April 2012 (UTC).[reply]

"Hypercomputation" is widely regarded as a bogus pseudo-concept. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypercomputation#Criticism ---Dagme (talk) 23:04, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You could call it "Nobel disease by proxy" - a student of the truly great will have a neat little career in academia and a life-long veneer of reflected glory, regardless of his or her inherent quality. Some of them are crackpots who gain far more attention then they warrant. (Yes, I'm aware that neither Turing nor Church won a Novel prize, but what matters is that they are handsomely in that bracket.)137.205.101.22 (talk) 16:00, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
