Updating employee figure in Operations

[edit]

Hello! It's Allison from JLL with another request on behalf of the company. As an employee of JLL, I have a financial conflict of interest and will use talk pages and not make direct edits, to follow Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. Thanks so much to User:Ptrnext who has updated the infobox with the full year financials for 2023 and the employee number. I'd like to ask if editors could update the employee number in the Operations section, too?

  • Sentence to update:
    • The company has more than 106,100 employees in 80 countries, as of December 2023.[1]

Also, I've seen on some other pages that there is an "archive" for the Talk page to stop it getting too long. Is that something that can be set up for this page? It's very long to scroll down and the discussions go back to 2009.

Would someone be able to make this small update to the page and help with the Talk page archiving? Thank you! AHatJLL (talk) 16:45, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

User:Noxoug1 would you possibly be able to take a look at this request? Alternatively, User:Ptrnext, since you made the infobox updates, would you be willing to update the employee figure? Thank you! AHatJLL (talk) 17:11, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, User:ARandomName123! Do you know how to archive the Talk page? Is that something you’d be able to help set up or is there someone else I should ask about that? AHatJLL (talk) 19:46, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@AHatJLL: I've set that up. It should run at least once within the next 24 hours. If not, please ping me and I'll take a look at it. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 22:00, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh wow, that's so much better, User:ARandomName123. Thank you again for all of your help! AHatJLL (talk) 14:37, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Updating History

[edit]

Hello! It's Allison from JLL again with a new request on behalf of the company. As an employee of JLL, I have a financial conflict of interest and will use talk pages and not make direct edits, to follow Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. For this request, I am suggesting three potential additions to the article based on major company updates that received media coverage this year. These could be added to the end of the History:

  • Add mention of the company's partnership with IBM, which launched earlier this year:
    • New sentence to add: The company began a partnership with IBM in 2024, using technology from IBM to provide its clients with a platform that tracks sustainability data for their commercial properties.[1] The company's global sustainability platform is intended to help its clients collect data and provide reporting on environmental sustainability goals, including decarbonization.[2]
  • Add mention of JLL's acquisitions of SKAE and Raise:
    • New sentences to add: During 2024,JLL acquired two technology companies to expand its services. The firm acquired data center services company SKAE Power Solutions in May 2024,[3] forming a technical services division called SKAE, a JLL company.[4] Later that year, JLL acquired Raise, a firm that had developed a technology platform for companies to manage their real estate holdings.[5]

Would someone be able to review these additions and update the article? Thank you! AHatJLL (talk) 17:54, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

User:ARandomName123 would you have a moment to review this request? Thank you! AHatJLL (talk) 18:54, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I will take a look at some point in the next couple of days. I have some stuff coming up IRL, so if I don't respond, please ping me again. To other editors, feel free to help out. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 22:25, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Could I suggest that the proposed text be adjusted to remove the elements to provide its clients with and to help its clients. These elements seem unduly promotional and, to be honest, entirely unnecessary, as the relevant text could easily be slightly reworked to exclude them. Hopefully you will see where I am coming from here and we can easily arrive at a version spoken in a more neutral tone... Axad12 (talk) 06:48, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that feedback, User:Axad12. I've given that first update another try, how does the following look to you?
The company began a partnership with IBM in 2024, using technology from IBM to develop a platform that tracks sustainability data for JLL's clients' commercial properties.[1] The company's global sustainability platform is intended to collect data and provide reporting on environmental sustainability goals, including decarbonization, for its clients.[2]
Thanks again for the review! AHatJLL (talk) 19:37, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
