historical context?

[edit]

The page for Cherrybelle provides some historical context, and talks about them as part of a trend for Asian girl groups. If you read this page, you'd get the idea that it was all the idea of the AKB48 team. There's no mention of any prior Indonesian girl groups such as Cherrybelle, for example... -- Doom (talk) 17:44, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Initial comments

[edit]

This looks like high-quality work--thanks, Arsonal, for your work on this. Unfortunately this may be hard to bring up to GA without someone with access to some of the sources that are now dead links. (The dead links themselves aren't a problem, they just leave some questions unanswered.) I made a few tweaks as I went--feel free to revert anything with which you disagree.

  • "about half are under the age of 30" -- this seems like a stat that might change or go out of date--worth an "as of 20xx" or "in 20xx"?
  • "but production of was hampered" -- needs copyedit
  • Some ref harv errors could be cleaned up, but this isn't necessary for the GA criteria.
  • "unique idol group with Indonesian culture" -- doesn't have a specific inline citation--does this appear in the Japan Times article cited a sentence later?
  • "the group has yet to generate interest among adults" -- another statement that could use a closer temporal reference ("as of...") per WP:REALTIME
  • Not in citation given. Tagging.
  • Discussion of the group's music, style, and sales seems like a conspicuous omission. Did their releases receive any kind of reviews or discussion? What are their songs about? What kind of critical/popular response has their stage show gotten? -- Khazar2 (talk) 02:43, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the quick responses; that should take care of most of the above. The information not in given citations may need the original nominator to address it, or I suppose we could simply trim it out in a few days if the nominator doesn't return. -- Khazar2 (talk) 11:41, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Okay, closing this and not listing for GA at this time. No prejudice against future re-nomination though, if Arsonal or someone else returns and wants to take this the rest of the way; I think it's close in many respects. Thanks for everybody's work. -- Khazar2 (talk) 22:36, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

New Page for Elections

[edit]

I think we need to create or moved "Elections" section to the whole new created page? this JKT48 need clean up for this section, and i think it's better to have stand alone page for "Elections" section. I'll start to move it if someone agree with this. thank you... - PeniPidiPici (talk) 08:55, 28 January 2020 (UTC) -[reply]
