No pretenses: as a biography, this is barely a mention of the man. At least I've managed to cobble together more of a bibliography than I've seen in any other single place. But I don't have access to the in-memoriam text by the folks who knew him (the only copy I can find is held in Texas), so I think it's time to put this into the public pool and ask for help, hoping that someone else (perhaps a Wikipedian in Austin?) has access to enough interesting details for a ==Life== section before the ==Works== section. — Sizzle Flambé (☎/✍) 12:05, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
