Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. Also, please supply a reliable source for any factual claims. Thanks, Older and ... well older (talk) 14:19, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Original research

[edit]

Edit summary.. "It means exactly that, as his father's family are the Rakitićs from Sikirevci mentioned in the article. His mother's family are Bosnian Croats as mentioned in the article. I am asking you once again to stop vandalizing the article."

  • Information from the source "U mojem selu, u Sikirevcima, ima mnoštvo Rakitića, ali samo jedan mi je rođak. A svi se zovu Ivan Rakitić. Šokci smo sto posto....In my village, in Sikirevci, there are many Rakitics, but only one is my cousin. And everyone's name is Ivan Rakitic. We are one hundred percent Šokci". Information from the article "His father Luka Rakitić's family are Šokci". Where in the source is mentioned his father Luka? Where in the source is mentioned that his family are Šokci? Nowhere, and it's called OR. Also call someone today Šokac or Slavonac does not mean that he really is Šokac or Slavonac. Šokac can be a name for someone who has nothing to do with Šokci. In Croatia, Šokac means that someone is also a Croat. Hrvatski jezični portal(Croatian language portal), Šòkac - Definicija, 1. Hrvat iz Slavonije, Baranje, Srijema i zapadne Bačke...Definition, 1. A Croat from Slavonia, Baranja, Srijem and western Bačka.
  • @Pjesnik21: To summarise, the source does not say what the article says, and this is exactly WP:OR, but we must not promote original research information's. I kindly ask you to return the old information and not to promote OR information. Thank you very much. Mikola22 (talk) 17:53, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"In Croatia, Šokac means that someone is also a Croat." If you visit the Šokci article, you will see that that is mentioned in the opening paragraph. Furthermore, the information in the Ivan Rakitić article implies that the Šokci are a subgroup of Croats ("Rakitić was born in Rheinfelden in the Swiss canton of Aargau to Croat parents"). If Rakitić himself stated that he is a Šokac, it should be noted in his article. Pjesnik21 (talk) 17:58, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately this source does not say that. See source. Everything is clear here and we must not promote OR. Mikola22 (talk) 18:02, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Main picture

[edit]

Hello, can someone please, please, please, find a better picture for his main info? For Shiva's sake, all the photos below in the article are better than this patchy beard one. Time for a change, I think. 84.52.186.47 (talk) 21:27, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
