References to this TV-movie's title

[edit]

Although the usage on Wikipedia is mixed, this TV-movie ought, I contend, to NOT have its title italicized. This production was never released theatrically. (It only has a separate listing at the Internet Movie Database because it had a separate release on DVD.)

Moreover, "Is It College Yet?" functions, in terms of the series' storylines, as far more of an extended episode — as the article for "Is It Fall Yet?" has acknowledged for some time, and as this one does now. "College" was shown after season five, was a direct result of countless plots and characterizations throughout the series' last two seasons (and longer), and served to wrap up many (though not quite all) character and plot arcs. - Greybird (talk) 13:06, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Titles of made-for-TV movies are italicized at Television film. It really isn't relevant that the Daria TV-movies were not released theatrically. Nor that they were part of the series continuity: The X-Files features continued the story of the series -- the first movie doing so, like the first Daria movie, between seasons of the series. Yet we italicize The X-Files (1998). --207.237.223.118 (talk) 00:56, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plot section

[edit]

I added a fair bit to the plot section. I get that it's on the longer side, but a lot of stuff happens in this movie. I think it's quite important to include the stuff Quinn says to Daria about having friends in college, the stuff Daria and Tom say to each other in their last scene together, and the stuff Daria and Jane say to each other at the end. Those are the moments that this movie is built around showing the audience. If we need to cut, I think it's much less important to detail the joke about Stacy wishing Sandi would "shut up" and then Sandi losing her voice.

I also made the section a little more chronological, since these character moments come at different times in the movie. I wonder if it's worthwhile to rewrite the whole thing to be a little more chronological and give the reader a better sense of how the story develops.
