[edit]hi, just wanted to point out that the book cover image currently shown on this page shows irene curzon's sister, baba (alexandra) and not irene. there is another edition of the book that shows all three women...perhaps someone could locate it and replace the current image?18.173.1.81 20:44, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Titles?
[edit]So, the title of her life peerage was the same as that of her hereditary peerage? Would her full title have been "Irene Curzon, 2nd Baroness Ravensdale, Baroness Ravendale" or something? --Jfruh (talk) 16:50, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, although ordinals (the numbers ie. 2nd) aren't official, so she would've been The Rt. Hon. the Baroness Ravensdale and Ravensdale I think. Funnily enough Andrew Turek wrote an article entitle Ladies for life, or who sits where?, which gives a rather good reasoning for female life peers created before the 1963 Act being created hereditary peeresses by virtue of Coke's doctrine of barony by writ; but that's an aside! --Counter-revolutionary (talk) 19:29, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
