The article claims "the Shah fled the country. He was able to declare Mohammad Reza Pahlavi the next Shah, to the alarm of the Soviet Union and the United Kingdom."

This is pure fantasy. Shah was expelled by the occupying forces and his son was put in his place by them.


Cite sources for that? One note: "so-called Cold War"? It's pretty established that there was a Cold War....
