Nationalities

[edit]

"People of many nationalities have been inducted including some non-American race drivers."

Well, duh, if many nationalities have been inducted it is quite probable that some of them will be non-American, don't you think! 195.92.40.49 10:27, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've changed the article to reflect the bias (intended or not, I don't know) towards American drivers who competed in US domestic series. The roll does include all the greats of global motorsport, yes, but there is a clear imbalance between US (particularly NASCAR) and RoW. 62.25.106.209 10:33, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Admittedly, the previous line wasn't so foolish as it sounded, insofar as there is a highly disproportionate number of NASCAR drivers in this self-proclaimed "International" Motorsports Hall of Fame versus any other series, including Formula One. I for one think that it represents an extreme example of outright nepotism on the part of its voting body, but that isn't likely to be in a published source anytime soon. --Chr.K. Not nepotism so much as provicialism, I think--it IS in Alabama, and right next to a NASCAR track. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.98.100.131 (talk) 08:13, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Class of 2010

[edit]

We're over halfway into 2010, and the Hall has yet to announce the class. Is the Hall of Fame dead? AmericanLeMans (talk) 18:34, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Hall is Dead

[edit]

With no inductees since 2013 and the site's link to their facebook broken, we can consider this Hall to be dead. The Mo-Ja'al (talk) 01:47, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Their website's "inductees" page just links to biographies, with no info on when they were even inducted. It's like they don't even care anymore. Wolf O'Donnel (talk) 17:08, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
