[edit]I believe Pope Julius III is buried in the Vatican (rather near the tomb of Pope John Paul II)and not in the Del Monte Chapel of the Church of San Pietro in Montorio
Undue weight
[edit]There is undue weight given to rumours, implications that the cardinal had sexual relations with the pope when there is no such proof. The scandal that the nepotism caused deserves mention, but itshould not include so much rumour and gossip. 50.44.145.236 (talk) 21:07, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- The scandal was caused not only by the nepotism, but by the very public flaunting of the relationship between Innocenzo and the pope. We are not saying that the relationship was sexual, but that many at the time believed it to be so.PiCo (talk) 23:15, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
- The nepotism as such did not cause scandal; all Popes acted it out, and they even could claim defensible reasons for doing so. What did cause the scandal was that it wasn't a "real" nephew of the Pope that got favored.--2001:A61:20D1:8B01:BDD8:801C:85A7:42BC (talk) 16:50, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
Sorted in LGBT cats
[edit]- Category:LGBT Roman Catholic clergy

Ciocchi Del Monte was a LGBT Roman Catholic cardinal. That should be sorted in categories. -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.96.230.248 (talk) 21:07, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
- Agreed. The editor blocking the change is violating similar changes on other pages today, violating the 3RR rule on top of it. natemup (talk) 21:31, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
- Read WP:CATLGBT. Rembert Weakland can be accurately placed in this category because he came out. For living people who did not come out or deny being LGBT, and for dead people, there needs to be a scholarly and academic consensus. Accusations, rumors, and suppositions are not enough.
