Question

[edit]

"dedicated to the grand traditions of British Imperialism in the face of capitalism, globalisation and the distinct lack of culture in Christchurch, New Zealand."

Is this a quote, or the author's own opinion? If a quote, it should be indicated as such. If not, it should be removed for being non-NPOV. Even if it's a silly party, the writeup should be factual. --Spudtater 01:08, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

What are the notability criteria for such parties? The IBCP certainly ran candidates in every election for over a decade. It got the same newspaper notice as any such party gets. During every election campaign there would be several mentions of it in each of the newspapers. What more could one want? Of course those newspaper archives are not easily accessible now, so I can't cite specific articles, but they were there all right. So how are they less notable than any other joke party? -- 64.131.244.143 (talk) 23:36, 21 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Possible other sources

[edit]

The National Library of New Zealand appears to hold some material on this subject. Sadly none is available online so one would probably need to travel to the library in Wellington to view it. Similarly the Institute of Commonwealth Studies Library at the University of London apparently holds some material but it appears one would have to visit their library in London.
