The author of this article makes a fundamental mistake not mentioning the impact of "Siam Mapped: A History of the Geo-Body of a Nation", written by Thongchai Winichakul (published in 1995, but put forward as a thesis in Sydney University in 1988), on Benedict Anderson, forcing him to revise his thesis... I can bet 5 crowns that the author of the article is American...
