We are told that Ayn Rand rewrote this novel as a play, but are given three disparate years for the play's date: 1934 in the second sentence, 1936 in the History section, or 1984 as the year in which, as part of an anthology of her early work, the play was first published. All three cannot be correct, and it is not clear which is the best interpretation of the data presented. --Haruo (talk) 22:45, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The play version was written in 1936, as stated in the body. The lead should have matched that. It was published in 1984, but that has nothing to do with when it was written. --RL0919 (talk) 03:26, 17 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
