Nickname

[edit]

Numerous IPs have been attempting to add the unsourced nickname "Water-T". The Rick and Morty sketch does not make this a real nickname for Ice-T. Meters (talk) 05:03, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not to be confused with iced tea?

[edit]

[Stupid] Geico commercial aside, I don't think this is a relevant concern, and comes off as more a joke than encyclopaedic information. I personally feel it should be removed, as the misunderstanding could really only occur in spoken language rather than written. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.225.0.77 (talk) 14:11, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ice T Vegan?

[edit]

I highly doubt Ice-T was serious in that video where he says he's vegan. After all he wrote an album called Carnivore. Here is just one quote from interview related to the album "The new album is titled Carnivore, only because people are getting so soft," he said. "It's okay for me to say, 'Oh, I'm a vegan,' or, 'I'm a vegetarian.' I say, 'I'm carnivorous — I only eat meat.' People go, 'What the fuck?' I think the person that's gonna come get you won't be a vegetarian; it will be [someone] carnivorous." So I think he was joking or high or something, I don't think the vegan think is real or at least that source is not enough to support it.Stilgar (talk) 18:27, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stilgar, I don't think he's vegan either -- I think he was critiquing vegans in the video and giving an example saying, "I'm a vegan" but I "eat life". Either way, that Youtube video isn't reliable enough as a source since it's not clear and it is only a primary source, so I'm going to go ahead and take the sentence out. Also, here's another article that came out 3 days ago where he pretty clearly seems to show he's not vegan [1] - Whisperjanes (talk) 21:42, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Explicit Lyrics Sticker

[edit]

"... when he released his debut album Rhyme Pays—the second hip-hop album to carry an explicit content sticker (following Slick Rick's La Di Da Di)" - "La Di Da Di" was actually not an album so this can't be right... Wathiik (talk) 12:20, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Associated acts

[edit]

Are all those acts really associated ? I don't know well enough to dig into this but it seems unlikely if the guidelines are being followed (Template:Infobox_musical_artist#associated_acts) Maybe someone knows his background better than I, can fix it, if it needs to be. - FlightTime (open channel) 02:23, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"External video"

[edit]

Is it just me or is this external video infobox a bit atypical for WP? Ok, in the first two interviews, he's commenting on his wikipedia page, so it's relevant, but the third makes it look like a bit of a link farm. Also, couldn't it have a more instructive title than "external video" like "Comments on WP accuracy"? Maybe I'm falling for the slippery slope fallacy, but we could just have loads of infoboxs with artist interviews on pages. Dhalamh (talk) 10:56, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is definitely external link spam, not sure why this is allowed to stand @FMSky 74.71.211.50 (talk) 02:39, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
