Splitting
[edit]This page was the product of splitting off the IS tank family page. Reasons for this split can be found in Talk:IS tank family - MTWEmperor (talk • contribs) 06:25, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion-copyright violation tag
[edit]@Onel5969: what's going on now? What's copyrighted? Most of the text has been on the IS tank family page for a while now as I'm doing a split. - MTWEmperor (talk • contribs) 13:04, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
- Nothing - it was a mirror site. Tag's removed. Take care.Onel5969 TT me 13:09, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
Surviving Ukrainian IS-3
[edit]According to a guide from Strategic Missile Forces Museum near Pobuzke in this video the tank from the memorial in Kostiantynivka is the same tank that is in the museum near Pobuzke right now. Can anyone confirm or deny? He says: It stayed in Kostiantynivka as a memorial. Later, pro-russians took it, put DSzK on it and it took part in war. In the region of Kramatorsk, ours took it back and at this moment it stays in our museum. Not for long Russians will probably bomb it
IS-3 use in WW2
[edit]Article says the IS-3 was not used in WW2. I'm reading "When Titans Clashed" by Glantz and House and they refer to them being used several times, e.g. on p.282. 98.110.230.199 (talk) 22:26, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
- There's not really anything else backing that up. Likely it's an editing error and they meant IS-2. M1A1TrackedTerror (talk) 21:51, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
Operators
[edit]Belgium having one in a museum is counted as being an "operator"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.21.209.228 (talk) 04:18, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
