ipad pro main infobox image
[edit]i personally think using File:IPad Pro 11 mockup.png as the main infobox image is a good thing that visualizes the ipad pro models really well and heres why:
it adds consistency with the other ipad models, it may seem out of place to see all of the other ipads follow the same main infobox template while others may not. other thing to note is that ipad pro models from 3rd gen and towards visually look the same, it may not be the same model but it does look the same, other articles reuse main images as well, look at iphone 1st gen, iphone 3g, and iphone 3gs
thats why i think adding said image to the main infobox is a good idea, let me know if you disagree, @Wiiformii and @Joyous! @JeffSpaceman @Cocobb8 tagging them because they were in my talk page 149.202.98.184 (talk) 22:22, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- I feel as it doesn't show the main purpose of the iPad, what really stands out from it. Wiiformii (talk) 22:43, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- The IPad Pro 11 mockup thing is probably different in the different generations of the IPad Pro series. Cwater1 (talk) 15:01, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
My main concern with the File:IPad Pro 11 mockup.png is that it is...a big black rectangle. Honestly, when I first clicked into the article, I thought that the image was broken. Joyous! Noise! 16:38, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
This is not the third generation iPad Pro - for 11” devices
[edit]I have a third generation iPad Pro, and it identifies itself as such in the “About” section of General settings.
It has an M1 chip.
Wikipedia inventing product names that are similar to but non-aligned with the actual products does not help people looking for information when they get the product name from their actual product, go looking for “iPad Pro (3rd Generation)” on Wikipedia, only to find an article discussing an iPad with a much older SOC and different capabilities.
This article describes the first-generation 11” iPad Pro, described as such by Apple:
