Who is "Bishop"? Can this be clarified with an introduction earlier in the article? Rwintle (talk) 18:14, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Decision to merge

[edit]
The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
To merge the IMSA GT class articles into one article covering them all, potentially called IMSA GT classes, for reasons of short text and 'context, and for maintenance convenience. The notability of each class is not in question. Klbrain (talk) 17:30, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've just discovered a small group of articles about IMSA GT classes. What they all have in common is their questionable quality. Many of these are unsourced, especially the list of cars itself. Some have dubious sources (Car Throttle). Some are a progression from one class into another (GTS was formerly GTO as also was GTX). For them to stand out as their article, they all will need a lot of work. SpacedFarmer (talk) 19:46, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. All listed classes IMHO appear to be independently notable: it is relatively easy to find independent reliable sources on who pushed for them and why, why some of them did not work out, what were the technical requirements. So the merge decision hinges on the secondary factors: maintenance convenience, avoiding duplication, potential for editor Somebody "Notme" Else to develop the stubs, etc. --Викидим (talk) 21:42, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
