re: "On December 28, 2018, ICQ stopped working on unofficial clients." Can anyone verify this? ICQ continues to work for me on Pidgin Denovoid (talk) 12:21, 31 December 2018 (UTC)
- They dropped old auth scheme, so some clients (unofficial and official like 2003b) are stopped work. Pidgin uses new scheme. But if ICQ owner (Mail.ru corp) in the future disable the old protocol (OSCAR) entirely, pidgin will die (and will need to implement a new protocol - WIM). 109.172.108.69 (talk) 17:48, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
Reads as an ad?
[edit]The section about features reads as an advertisement. For example:
"When logging into an account, the chat can be accessed from any device thanks to cloud synchronization"
Thanks to?
There seem to be a lot of these redundant words in the text that aren't that objective. 82.168.248.250 (talk) 08:13, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
