2000 Alberto

[edit]

This disambig page says that 2000's Alberto is the third-longest living Atlantic hurricane on record, however, its place in the 2000 season article and the 'longest-lived' part of the 'notable' article say that it's the seventh. Where does this discrepancy come from? -- RattleMan 18:33, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Its a typical messy thing by the looks of it. I had assumed the number 7 was accurate however the article implies 22 days for 2000's Alberto; which puts it 4th in that list. More research to fix it - however 3rd longest lasting isnt important just have "long lasting storm" in the disambig.--Nilfanion (talk) 18:44, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Alberto spent about two days as extratropical. This must not be counted, bringing the total down to 20 days ('notable' article says 19.75). -- RattleMan 19:04, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What I get for not going to the best track data, but skim reading wikipedia... I'll rephrase the "3rd longest lasting". Even if it is true, it is a bit too trivial.--Nilfanion (talk) 19:07, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
