Untitled
[edit]If someone knows more about this electricity pylon, please add these informations to the article. This pylon may be the only electricity pylon standing over a shipable waterway!
- Scarcely "shipable" - "narrow" means it is limited to narrow boats, ie 7 ft (2.13 metres) beam. The external link I have added tells a bit more. -- RHaworth 07:41, 2005 Jun 12 (UTC)
"This may be the only electricity pylon in the world, under which you can pass by a boat.". This is a "may", and it's still an encylopedia article on an electricity pylon. Secretlondon 17:45, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
It is not the only electricity pylon which straddles a canal, anyway - there's one on the Wey and Arun Canal. Look at this map on their site ("Unique to the W & A (?) a pylon straddles the canal") and this picture. Sorry.
Add to Category:Electricity pylons straddling canals. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.56.71.40 (talk) 23:29, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
- That would be deleted as over categorisation within days. Mayalld (talk) 21:52, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
Photo added
[edit]I've just added a photo of the pylon. I confess to having no interest on the details about it but I was looking at Stalybridge (where I live) and saw a link to your pages which sparked me to remember that I had taken a photo of it when I had a new camera and was looking for anything and everything to picture.
