Why deserted?

Deserted mediaeval villages (a this is here described) were usually abandoned in mediaeval times, for example as a result of plague. But this village seems to have still been inhabited within the last century. The article needs to explain why it has been deserted. Deipnosophista (talk) 09:00, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A non-RS, the Daily Mail reports "the surrounding village was flattened by the local landowner in 1925, when property had little value, and given over to sheep-farming and game-shooting." Nedrutland (talk) 10:05, 9 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
