There are multiple physics problems with the way that the movies were done. Assuming that he just made a localized change to the Planck constant (that traveled with the object), other physical "constants" would also be modified, so the object would maintain cohesion. "The film was not released overseas and its domestic gross was $58,662,452"

[edit]

This is incorrect as I saw this movie in the movie theatre when it came out and on TV in Belgium. Dreeke (talk) 18:33, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Title

[edit]

Was this at one point during production titled "Honey, I Blew Up the Baby" (which indeed is Rick Moranis' line in the film)? I'm sure I saw a preview on a movie show where it was called "...Baby" instead of "...Kid" back in the day, and later heard vaguely that the title was changed to avoid reference to a bomb attack on a building that contained a creche (though I might be getting mixed up with the Oklahoma City bombing, which happened 3 years later!). Any ideas? It would have made more sense, considering both films (at that time) being called "Honey, I (verbed) the Kid(s)" sounds too reptitive... Dave-ros (talk) 16:28, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vista Del Mar, Other Stuff

[edit]

Vista Del Mar (View by the Sea in English) doesn't exist. The establishing shot of the "suburb" is somewhere in Henderson, NV, after I-515 goes beyond Black Mountain, give or take a few miles. The community that was movie was filmed in is located in CA, though I don't have any citation, other than John Shea telling me that when I was 15. My personal theory was always that it was a neighbor in development in Henderson somewhere. I suggested somebody remove the Vista del Mar, NV, from filming locations, unless a citation of evidence can be made, more so than me just talking to an actor in the film.

Wet 'n' Wild, featured as Nick's employer, is closed. Rumors why is lawsuits, over $100 million in settlements total, caused the reason for closing. Again, I wouldn't where to find a citation from a drunk in Pahrump who told me this. He says, says, mind you, people filed lawsuits over STDs transmitted in the pools, rapes, "evil" staff, pedophiles take pictures from Sahara's towers, Circus Circus and Sahara casinos fighting over the property's property, etc., etc., etc. Again, if somebody wants to confirm any of this, and post it at the Wet 'n' Wild article, be their own guest.

The road with the high voltage lines seems to be, or modeled after, Lake Mead Blvd. beyond Hollywood Blvd., going towards Las Vegas from Lake Mead. No citation.

There isn't any movie theater called Desert 6 or anything of the like. The building used for the lab is NV Energy's Las Vegas HQ on Jones and Sahara, used to be called Nevada Power Company. Cliff Sterling's license plate contains one letter too many for an actual NV license plate, though a vanity plate, which can be installed on the front of the car, could be used. Also, the bike cops wearing dark blue uniforms? In City of Las Vegas? Las Vegas City Marshalls don't have bike cops, though they do wear dark blue uniforms. NHP and North Las Vegas PD where dark blue, as well, but wouldn't be patrolling local Vegas streets.

Okay, it's clear to me I've watched this movie too much in my lifetime.

Something occured to me...

[edit]

There was an extended version of this movie which includes additional scenes that were not present in any home video releases (and maybe in theaters). I saw these scenes on KTLA and I was wondering if these scenes might be present in some way. 76.229.125.7 (talk) 03:48, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
