Commencing review
[edit]I will review this article. The article appears stable, and I believe there are no image issues, within the usualy constraints of the use of album covers. The article has a range of other issues:
- The lead is meant to be a summary but contains facts not covered in the body of the article.
- The lead says a documentary was made about the making of the album. This is of importance, but is not covered adequately in the body of the article. Who made it? How long is it, has it been released independently of the CD/DVD (eg in cinemas)? What were its themes etc?
- "The cover art is a tribute to the famous Cuban cigar brand Cohiba." Says who?
- Just because a band member thinks the album is a concept album about desire does not make it so. This needs a reliable source reference.
- Who is "E", and does E have a real name?
- "...pre-ordered copies receive a copy of the music video for "Prizefighter"" This is starting to sound like promotion of the album rather than encyclopedic content. Suggest delete.
- The reference to the Twitter account should not be the Twitter account. It needs to be a reliable source saying that the Twitter account was used for promotion.
- The infobox suggests there have been multiple professional reviews, but none have been discussed in the relevant article section. What did they say? This should potentially be the longest and most detailed section.
In addition there should be some substantive discussion of other aspects of the album, particularly production, content, lyric themes (from reliable sources, not directly from band members / the band's own site). For examples from amongst the other GA candidates at present, see Debut (album) or Intimacy (Bloc Party album).
I think these issues are sufficiently extensive that I will fail the article at this point. I don't think they are amenable to putting it on hold as I more usually would do. Regards. hamiltonstone (talk) 02:40, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
