id just like to say this is a perfect example of the wikipedia community at work. I started this article with a few lines and have visited it a few times since then and each time it has been added on and improved until it has come to this quite impressive, considering the topic, standard.
Saturday Showdown
[edit]I have moved the recent Saturday Showdown info to the relevant sub-section of 'Significant changes'. At the moment most of the information is rumour based, a lot coming from Domonic Woods' forum. It is also possible 'the house' info is being mixed up the return of Finders Keepers. I'd recommend in waiting until Saturday (or Friday if they do previews) before posting stuff that is mainly rumour based. Brollachan 18:05, 2 January 2006 (UTC)
(Copied from List of CiTV programmes post) Thought I'd add a bit more info taken from the ITV Sales website.
AB LIST January: Ministry Of Mayhem - Weeks: 1-4
AB LIST February: Ministry Of Mayhem - Weeks: 5-8
AB LIST March: Ministry Of Mayhem - Weeks: 9-12
So I think it's safe to say that 'Holly and Stephens Saturday Showdown' is still officially Ministry of Mayhem as far as ITV are concerned, and therefore being a section on this article instead of having a serparate article is justified. I have reinstated the Saturday Showdown redirect which had been removed. Brollachan 14:11, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
I've altered the intro text to read: The Ministry of Mayhem is a children's television show which broadcast on ITV1 from January 2004. As of January 2006, whilst the off-screen is still Ministry of Mayhem the onscreen name is now Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown.
As shown by ITV Sales info (see above) this is the case. Brollachan 12:50, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
Merger Proposal
[edit]As discussed on the Talk:Holly and Stephen's Saturday Showdown page it was suggested that the Holly and Stephen's Saturday Showdown should be merged into this article. The article pretty much duplicates this one and doesn't contain as much information. Sonic 12:09, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- I say merge / delete other article. I'm not entirely sure why it was created as this one was redirecting to Ministry of Mayhem before being renamed, with its own section. Also the programme as such just a rename rather than a new programme, as characters (eg. Ray and Scratch) were kept along with some of the games. Looking at that article it was altered in January to redirect here, and only ressurected as an article on 10 April 2006 by Paul2001. Brollachan 20:23, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- I'll see what's worth including from the other article, and merge it in here. Elcondor 20:07, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Original Ministry
[edit]I was just reading through this article after discovering it and noticed several references to the show moving away from the original theme, but on searching through the article there seemed to be no mention to what this theme was. It would seem relevant to say what the theme of the show was originally that it was moving away from across its revamps. Just a thought for those regular contributors who know what the show is about (unlike myself) --Kiltman67 02:02, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
'The End'
[edit]I have removed the line... " Holly and Stephen are to front a brand new show on CiTV with a similar format to that of Mighty Truck of Stuff." ...again. This appears to be unproven and dubvious, most likely it is made up nonsense. May I suggest that if it is to be reposted a reliable source of the information (url) is posted here. games not mentioned
[edit]Ram Ray was originally called Swing Ray on Ministry of Mayhem, Ray would be suspended from a harness and the object was to swing him into things and Knock them down
the segment had an introductory theme tune that copied the theme from Gerry Anderson's Stingray
