Screentone
[edit]Ashinano makes extensive use of screentone, as can be easily seen by looking at any of his work. He also uses crosshatching, of course, but it certainly isn't the case that "minimal use of screentone" characterizes his work more than any other artist. I'm removing the line that makes this claim.

Original "research"?
[edit]According to this editing "Ashinano is a pen name. Try Googling the kanji yourself, there's no other Japanese person with that last name." So I googled and lo, I got many hits. There seems to be others, unless the author also is a perl programmer in his spare time.
This question has been raised before but somehow prior discussions have been wiped. --19:31, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- There's no record of any deleted anything on this page, so it wasn't raised here. I've removed that line, though, as it's impossible to prove. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 20:20, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- I know there is no record of it but I have a very strong feeling it was brought up here. It would be strange that this talk page was created as late as in August 2006 when the article itself is from 2004. I have a feeling also other talk pages have been wiped in the past but it is in the nature of the problem that it is near impossible to prove. --16:55, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
About PositioN
[edit]I have changed the casing (if that's a word) of the title of the publication, PositioN. I’m leaving this comment for anyone who might later want to ‘fix the typo’. It isn’t a typo, but the way the title was printed in the original work. See Reference #3: "PositioN (manga)". Anime News Network.

Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō Remake
[edit]Someone seems to have mistranslated a news article concerning reprints of Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō with new cover art as a "remake." Call it original research if you will, but I subscribe to Afternoon and can confirm that there is no such thing. Removed the mention. 84.248.115.156 (talk) 09:23, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
- Citations to the source aren't original research, even to prove a negative. —Quasirandom (talk) 14:46, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Suuke
[edit]I made an edit because I noticed the [citation needed] by "suke." Here is what I did:
- changed the wording of the "suke" sentence from he has been known to to he has or something like that
- changed romanization of his pseudonym to suuke because it seems to be more commonly used on other sites[1][2]
- added parenthetical japanese spelling of his pseudonym because the romanized spelling doesn't suggest it either way
- deleted [citation needed]?!!?!??
- added link to his doujin group's site, which frequently mentions his real name in association with his pseudonym on the page for Tokkankouji works
--へるぷみぃ (talk) 09:15, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
- I've simply removed the statement because it has been tagged since 2007 and no reliable, published source has been provided. I also found no mention of him in the external link, which I removed as there is no relation. And finally, I removed what is clearly another editor's opinion of his work/art style which has no citation. That is a clear violation of Wikipedia's no original research policy. Since this is a WP:BLP, everything must be cited to a reliable source. —Farix (t | c) 12:36, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
