Quality improvement project
I've embarked on a Quality improvement project for this article page.
First step = research and improvement with additional secondary sources.

Lots more info on History of the device, at above cite. — Cirt (talk) 04:47, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
Additional academic usage
Device has seen usage in academic studies for other non-sexual purposes.
Example = https://escholarship.org/uc/item/48q9s83p
These uses are more disparate and not as correlated with each other as the sexual uses.
I'll do some additional research and create another sub-sect under Academic analysis for these other varied uses by academics and medical clinicians.
— Cirt (talk) 21:37, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
- Added that source, above. Added sub sub sect for this sort of usages. Found a few more studies to add to that sect as well. Will add those soon. — Cirt (talk) 18:08, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
- Added a bunch more studies. Will see if there are any more mentions of that academic sort. — Cirt (talk) 13:01, 28 September 2014 (UTC)

Dubious statement
I tagged "It does not work well in electrical outlets outside the U.S." I can only see the first few lines of the refs, but I doubt that they qualify as WP:RS. They appear to be more along the lines of personal travel columns. From the device's website it is rated to work with 110-120 V, 60 Hz power (the US is not the only place that system is used for mains supply) and it is even sold in Canada. Meters (talk) 20:43, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Meters:I'll recheck the source and provide quotes from the cited sources. Standby. — Cirt (talk) 20:45, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks. No point quoting the refs if they have it wrong. Better to just use the info from the company's website. Meters (talk) 20:49, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
- Best to rely on secondary sources where at all possible. — Cirt (talk) 20:50, 7 November 2014 (UTC)

- "Arts & Entertainment". Valley Advocate. Easthampton, Massachusetts. 10 November 2011 – via NewsBank.
Though it packs a punch like no other, it's bulky, only has two speeds, must be plugged into the wall with a 12-foot cord, and is known for blowing up foreign electrical sockets.

If you're flying internationally, leave the plug-in Hitachi Magic Wand at home (it blows up foreign sockets) and read up on laws regarding sexuality, as no toy is worth legal trouble abroad.
Added quotes to two above cited sources. Hope that's clearer now, per the sources. Cheers, — Cirt (talk) 20:50, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
- Done, modified sentence: Changed from "It does not work well in electrical outlets outside the U.S." to "electrical outlets in all countries internationally". Please see DIFF. Thank you, — Cirt (talk) 20:53, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out, Meters, much appreciated, — Cirt (talk) 21:04, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
- Much better. Thanks for the quick response. I would have rewritten it myself, but I couldn't see the entirety of the refs. Meters (talk) 21:08, 7 November 2014 (UTC)

Why
I expected to find a section in this article on why this device is "the mother of all vibrators". It can't be because of a single US sex educator. On Amazon for example, the highest rated clitoral vibrators are considerably smaller and lighter than this bulky non-portable thing. Why does it have to be so huge? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.21.157.27 (talk) 17:50, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
- Haven't come across that in secondary sources yet. — Cirt (talk) 02:25, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
