The table for presidents is probably relevant, but its current location and formatting just adds a lot of white space to the article (given the clear template). --Another Believer (Talk) 16:44, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures

[edit]

Putting all the pictures in this article in black and white seems like a silly affectation that is inappropriate for an encyclopedic treatment of the material. MrArticleOne (talk) 03:30, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yea, that just seems unnecessary and manipulative of the reader. But more generally, why show only buildings and not historical figures like File:Joseph R. Williams.jpg or File:Hannah statue.jpg?-- Patrick {oѺ} 17:38, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I agree. It looks really silly. Nick-D (talk) 10:29, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I agree also, but until someone goes and takes some color pictures of the same buildings, we're stuck with these. Rreagan007 (talk) 18:15, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Shamefully bad.

[edit]

This article reads like an advertisement published by the University. Nothing remotely significant is mentioned. There is no mention of MSUG, there is no mention of Public Works projects, there is no mention of anything interesting or significant. This article really deserves a serious upheaval, as Michigan State has a fascinating and important history and has been intimately involved in world affairs for better and for uglier. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.178.216.56 (talk) 07:40, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Missed possible vandalism by 2602:304:107C:7C99:C9C8:7022:FEA1:A5F0

[edit]

I caught a few factual inaccuracies that 2602:304:107C:7C99:C9C8:7022:FEA1:A5F0 had introduced into other articles, and so I looked around to see if he'd done anything else. His edit on this article changed several key dates and numbers in the introduction, but his edit was immediately followed by some pretty blatant vandalism that got reverted back and forth. If I've mucked something up royally, let me know.ChristopherGregory (talk) 07:08, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

FAR needed

[edit]

This is a 2006 FA that has not been maintained to standards. There is a good deal of uncited text (only a bit of which is tagged), bare URLs, some MOS issues, and more. Is anyone able to restore the article to standard, to avoid a Featured article review? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:31, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I thought the enrollment history numbers were a bit faulty and was based on a newspaper article. Instead, I went and researched the numbers in MSU's own archives "Enrollment at Michigan State University for the First one hundred years (1855-1955)". These numbers are correct. If anyone has a problem with this, let me know... Thanks. --Pulley12 (talk) 14:29, 16 April 2018 (UTC)Pulley12[reply]
