Slight name change for the name of this article?
[edit]I noticed that this article's name is exactly the same as this article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_East_Texas_State_Normal_College), so is it possible we could put the years that both articles cover of this college's history to avoid confusion? (1889 - 1917 for this article and 1917 - 1923 for the other one) Blue Jay (talk) 01:41, 30 October 2022 (UTC)
- The names are different, with the addition of the word "State" in the second article: "History of East Texas Normal College" vs. "History of East Texas State Normal College".
- Also, the dates are clearly stated in the first sentence of each article:
- The history of East Texas Normal College (ETNC) comprises the history of the university now known as Texas A&M University–Commerce from its foundation as a private normal college in 1889 to its acquisition by the State of Texas in 1917.
- The history of East Texas State Normal College (ETSNC) comprises the history of the university now known as Texas A&M University–Commerce from when it was acquired by the State of Texas in 1917, to when it was renamed East Texas State Teachers College in 1923.
- I think this addresses your concern. Michael Barera (talk) 20:21, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
- Ah, alright. Blue Jay (talk) 05:34, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
